Background Fabric: For the entire quilt, as patterned, 4 and one-half to five yards. For each repeated appliqué block, the background fabric should be cut 24 inches square. There are five of these blocks in the quilt as made by Andi. You are free to make as many as you like! The large bouquet block should be cut 40 inches square. You may vary the background fabrics for a scrappy look.

Other Fabrics: Choose colors which please you and which contrast with your background fabric. You will need a yard or so of stem fabric, but you may use several closely related colors of green if you wish. The heart-shaped flowers and the circular flowers may be whatever pleases you. Scraps will work, but the pieces must be good size.

• A 24-inch square of Pellon Tru-Grid or pattern-tracing cloth (has red dots). You can see through these although they are not perfectly clear. Instructor will have this for sale in class if needed.
• Sharpie pen
• Plastic template material
• Freezer paper
• Sharp silver and white chalk pencils
• Needles: Sharps or betweens
• Small silk pins or short appliqué pins
• Small, sharp scissors
• Rotary cutter, mat, and ruler
• Threads: To match flower and stem fabrics. Cotton thread: #50 or #60 Mettler
• Bias Bars (three-eighths and one-quarter inch)
• Sewing machine and extension cord with thread/bobbin to match stem fabric
• Small pieces of white cotton batiste (a few 6” squares should suffice)
• Scraps of a flat batting material such as cotton or Hobbs 80/20
• White cotton yarn: 4-ply worsted weight Sugar ‘N Cream made by Lily, or Cotton Ease yarn.
• OPTIONAL: If you prefer not to bring a sewing machine and bias bars, you may instead bring Clover bias tape makers in 1/4" and 1/2" sizes.
